Through the generosity of the Western Michigan University College of Fine Arts and School of Music we will be offering an online version of SPLICE Institute to all accepted participants free of charge. The online version of SPLICE Institute will include workshops covering an Introduction to Max, Gen~, IRCAM Tools/Open Music, Poly~, Javascript in Max, Beginning SuperCollider, Improvisation with Electronics, and an Introduction to Live Sound/DAW. This year will also feature a multichannel workshop by guest composer Nina C. Young.

At the present time we are working under the assumption that SPLICE Institute 2020 will convene as planned. That being said, we are aware that the COVID-19 situation in the United States remains uncertain and only over time will we know whether the Institute can take place as intended. SPLICE remains committed to your projects and to its instructional mission, while also prioritizing your and the community’s health and well-being.
