Information for 2026 Participants

CHECK IN

Check-in will be at the dorms. If you need to check-in outside of the times below, please email Max at coordinator@splicemusic.org. You’ll pick up your key card and parking pass (if you requested one) at your dorm, and then you can head to your room to get settled.

Check-in times: Saturday 6-8 pm

If you are arriving later than that, please email both Max at coordinator@splicemusic.org and SPLICE Music <institute@splicemusic.org> ASAP. We will make arrangements for us or someone else to meet you to check you in.

Social Media

Help us get the word out about everything that is going on with SPLICE. Connect with us online and share your Institute experience with your followers. We are on Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram at @spliceorg. #SPLICE2026

DISCORD

If you have not already, make sure to join the Discord. Rather than email, Discord will be the primary communication tool during the Institute. You can find information about each workshop on Discord, including software to download and other information. Make sure you check out the information for each workshop you are in.

SUNDAY Activities

Welcome and space tour (Morning orientation)

At 10am on Sunday, we’ll all meet in the Recital Hall for some general information and a brief tour.

Sunday Workshops and Collab meetings

From 12-6pm there will be various collab meetings and workshops. Please consult the main schedule details.

Opening Evening Activities

At 6pm on Sunday evening, we will all meet in the main Recital Hall for introductions of all SPLICE faculty/staff. These introductions should take about 15 minutes. Then, together, we will all go to the Old Goat for our ceremonial day 0 dinner.

At the Old Goat we will play a game of Human Bingo to get to know each other. In order to to have your information included on the bingo card, you should have filled out the questionnaire sent in an earlier communication. If you have not, never fear, you can still participate!

Maps and Locations

All the workshops and activities will take place in the Dalton Center and South Kohrman. Only room K2206 is in South Kohrman. You can find these buildings on the campus map. The closest parking is in Parking Structure Number 2.

If you are staying in the dorms, the air-conditioned dorm is Archer-Pickard East and the non air-conditioned dorm is Britton-Hadley.
