NOTE: The following housing and meal prices have NOT YET been updated to reflect the costs for 2025:

Housing

The room and board accommodations are very reasonably priced. The rooms are in a relatively old dormitory. There are double and single rooms both with and without air conditioning. All housing will start on the initial Saturday (June 22) with check out on the final Sunday (June 30).

(2024 costs)  Single-Occupancy   Double-Occupancy
Room with no air conditioning  $288.00 $208.00
Room with air conditioning $544.00 $384.00

You are not required to stay on campus and there are various hotels in the area.

MEALS

Our meal plan provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Monday through Friday over the week of the institute, plus brunch and dinner on the final Saturday. This will be the cheapest way to eat. The meals are cafeteria-style, similar to what is found at most state universities.

Meal plan cost (from 2024): $200.00

In addition, all participants will have access to coffee and food in the music building on the morning and early afternoon of the first Sunday (June 23) and the morning of final Saturday (June 29) at no additional charge.

Though it is not required, we recommend participants eat meals in the cafeteria; faculty eat nearly all their meals at the cafeteria, and communal mealtime is part of the community-building feature of SPLICE.
