At the present time we are working under the assumption that SPLICE Institute 2020 will convene as planned. That being said, we are aware that the COVID-19 situation in the United States remains uncertain and only over time will we know whether the Institute can take place as intended. SPLICE remains committed to your projects and to its instructional mission, while also prioritizing your and the community’s health and well-being.
In light of this uncertainty we encourage participants to hold off on making any non-refundable travel purchases. SPLICE cannot reimburse any travel expenses.
SPLICE faculty will continue meeting with participant composers and performers to mentor their collaborative projects. Please continue working on your pieces!
We realize that you will have many questions regarding how contingencies may unfold. We ask for your continued patience and will share information regarding all aspects of SPLICE Institute 2020 as able.
SPLICE will closely monitor the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and will work with Western Michigan University to ensure the safety of all participants and success of SPLICE Institute. We look forward to seeing you at SPLICE Institute 2020 this summer and will share updates as they become available.
